New York City’s Statue Cruises Offers Free Trips for Children
July 9, 2012This summer, New York City’s Statue Cruises is offering eight special Summer Evenings to the Statue of Liberty with children ages 12 and under going free. This is the first time during Statue Cruises' Summer Evenings Series that the company is offering kids free.
Statue Cruises' Summer Evening Series is made possible thanks to a partnership between Statue Cruises, the National Park Service and Evelyn Hill, Inc. Parent tickets are also a bargain at $24.95 with senior tickets priced at $19.95. Summer Evenings at the Statue of Liberty begin July 12 and continue every Thursday through Aug. 30 with departures from Battery Park at 6 p.m.
Families will disembark on Liberty Island where they can spend up to two hours exploring the island and kids can enjoy the Junior Ranger Program. Families can also photograph the Statue of Liberty as the sun sets in the background or enjoy a nice picnic at their leisure. Dinner is also available for purchase on Liberty Island. Only a limited number of seats are available for each Summer Evening at the Statue of Liberty.
